About Me
I graduated from Texas A&M-Commerce in 2005 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education. In 2011, I earned my Master’s in Educational Admistration from Lamar University. I completed my superintendent’s certification in 2021 through the Bill Ratliff School Executive Academy.
I have seved as the Chisum Middle School principal for nine years.
I began my career at Chisum ISD, in 2005, serving as a history teacher and coach. In 2011, I became the assistant principal at Chisum High School. In 2014, I took a job at Detriot ISD, where I served as the high school and middle school principal, before returning back to Chisum ISD as the CMS pricipal.
I have been blessed with an amazing family. I’ve been married to my wife, Heather, for 21 years. We have two daughters, Brooke and Brynlee, and a son-in-law, Brooke’s husband, Ashton. Ashton and Brooke live in Tyler. Brooke is currently in the nursing program at UT-Tyler, where she will complete her degree in December. Ashton is an electrician in Tyler. Brynlee is a 5th grader at Chisum Elementary.
First and foremost, God comes first in my life, then my family. I enjoy spending time with my family when I’m not at work and school events. We like to camp during the spring and summer. I love to hunt, fish, and spend time outdoors.
