About Me

  • Educational History:

I graduated high school from Hanson Memorial High School in Frankin, La. Class of 2001.  I went on to Louisiana State University where I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Education with a concentration in Mathematics in 2005.  I have recently, May of 2023, graduated from Texas A&M where I earned my Master of Education in Educational Leadership.

  • Current Position:

This will be my first year in administration and I can’t tell you how excited I am to be a Chisum Mustang.  I am looking forward to my new role as Assistant Principal and can’t wait to get the new school year started to welcome the new faces into the building!  If you as a parent or student have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out so we can work together to make this the best year possilbe.

    Previous Position:

I have worked at Detroit High School for the last 16 years as a high school math teacher.  I have enjoyed watching my students grow and glow as they have came through my classroom and moved on to create successful lives for themselves and families of their own.

  • Family Information:

I have been married to my amazing wife Dottie for 15 years. She is my rock and my reason for being.  She is a head start teacher in Detroit where she had been for 12 years.  Besides her I have two daughters, Lily and Addie.  Both of my girls will be joining me here at Chisum.  Lily as a freshman at CHS and Addie will be here with me at the middle school as a 7th grader.  We are all looking forward to becoming part of the Chisum family and meeting everyone through this new endeavor.

  • Personal Information:

When I not at school I love to watch my daughters excel in their many different activities.  If we aren’t home we are on the road traveling to some kind of athletic competition or when I’m really lucky to the beach, my families happy place.  When I am home I’m cooking something.  Growing up in south Louisiana food and cooking is in my blood and its my favorite personal pasttime, when I can have a little time to past.
